Seidl Titania (1988)

Titania Seidl has remained faithful to painting with oils, sometimes creating small objects. Yet she equally works with texts (either in titles to her works or through independent short stories) that shed some light on her perception of her immediate environment. She graduated in painting at the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna, where she now works as an assistant in the painting department. As of 2012, she is heading the Mauve gallery together with Lukas Thaler. She has been on an art residency program in Kofu, Japan (2014) and a study program in Newcastle upon Tyne (2010/11). In 2018 she was shortlisted for a Strabag Art Award.
